Our Story

First Care Tactical

First Care Tactical was created from necessity and reactive to the world we now live in. Owned and operated by experienced SWAT medics still active in the field. Specializing in custom active shooter trauma kits to fit unique needs, staying ahead of new trends, using equipment proven to succeed, and completing the mission to save lives.

In 1924 AHA (American Heart Association) realized that sudden cardiac arrest in the pre-hospital setting was claiming numerous lives. They found that the lack of awareness, training, and education accounted for a majority of these deaths and realized the improvement that needed to be made. With that, they initiated a nationwide campaign to bring awareness to the problem and offered a solution through education. This education was for anyone willing to learn the concepts of CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). Since that campaign, there has been thousands of lives saved.

We are now facing another pandemic sweeping across America in the form of trauma. Trauma has been the leading cause of death amongst the population between the ages of 1 and 46. These deaths have tragically increased with the amount of active shooter situations increasing.

Before 2006, America had felt the pain of what these events caused with not much prevalence. One of the most notable events being the Columbine High School shooting. Since 2006 until the present day, we are experiencing an active shooter threat every 3 weeks, making these events more of a normal event.

Analyzing these events such as Columbine, Virginia Tech, Fort Hood, Sandy Hook, the Sikh Temple, Aurora, and many others, we have found no way of stopping these horrific events from happening. What we have learned is implementing lessons learned from AHA (American Heart Association) and offering better outcomes from these terrible incidents. We have done this primarily through awareness, training, education, and equipment.

With those key factors in mind, and not only supporting, but implementing the “Stop the Bleed Campaign”, it is our goal to offer those skills and equipment to anyone and everyone willing to learn. It is our hope to have the same positive impact in our communities as the AHA (American Heart Association) has had on sudden cardiac arrest. Also ensuring no one dies from uncontrolled bleeding due to a lack of training and equipment.

It is our goal, here at First Care Tactical, through a community approach, to position a Trauma Kit next to every AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) in America and to help facilitate the proper training for the use of these kits.

Ultimately, we hope to promote better outcomes, not only in the event of an active shooter, but in all events involving trauma that might have otherwise ended a precious life.
